AN ACT to rt peol rhe Opposition Nominus Act. 1996

BE IT ENACfED by the President, by and with the advice and

consent of the House of Representatives. in this present Parliament

assembled, and by the authority of the same , as foll ows:-

I. This Act may be cited as the Opposition Nominees (Repeal )

Act. 1997 , and shall be read and construed as one with the Opposition

Nominees Act, 1996, hereinafter referred to as "the princi pal Act".

The principal Act is hereby repealed.

Any member of any board appointed thereon in vinue of the

provisions of the principal Act shall , nOlWithstanding the repeal of the

principal Act , remain in his office until the end of the tenn of his

appointment.
