AN ACT to amend the Local Manufactures (Promotion) Act, Cap. 336

BE IT ENACTED by the President. by and with the advice and

consent of tlte House of Representatives, in this present Parliament

assembled. and by the authority of the same. as follows:-

I . (I ) This Act may be cited as the Local Man ufact ure s

(Promotion) (Amendment) Act, 1996 and shall be read and construed

asone with the Local ManufaclUres (Promotion) Act hereinafter referred CIp. lJ6.

to as .. the principal Act".

(2) This Act shall be deemed to have come in to force on

the 26th July . 1995.

In the First Part of the Second Schedule to the pri ncipal Act. ... .... """"' .. or .....

and 020230.9().OO, there shall in each case be substituted the words

"lOc per kg".

Limitedly to the period between the 26th July and the 6th

September. 1995 . (both dates incl usive), the First Part of the Second

Schedule to the principal Act shal l be read and construed as if for the

words" IOc per kg" in section 2 of this Act. there were the words "3Oe

per kg" .
