AN ACT 10 1l1lle"d IM Post OfflCt Act, Cap. 254.

BE IT ENACIED by the Preside nt , by and with the advice and

consent of the House of Representati ves, in this present Parliament

assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

I . This Act may be ci ted as the Post Office (Amendment) Act _title.

1995, and shall be read and construed Il.S one with the Post Office Act. Cap. lSt.

hereinafter referred to as " the principal Act ~.

After the seco nd proviso to subsection (I) of section 27 of the Amendment 01

principal Act there shall be added the following proviso

funhe r that wh en the Postmaster General is

satisified that a postal article addressed to a person legally en titled

to provide television broadcasting services in Malta consists of

audiovisual material which has been posted orsent by post only for

the purpose of its being broadcast 00 television aocording to the

provisions of the Broadcasting Act and of I ny re,u1ations made or

licence issued thereunder, he shall. notwithstanding the provisions

of this sectioo and of section 26 of this Act, deliver such postal

anicle to the addressee without funher examination or

censorship.H.
