AN ACT to ~nd /he Massa FnunenUlria Orditumu, CDp. /4.

BE IT ENACT EO by the President , by and with the advice and

consent of the Hour.e of Represen tativei, in this present Parliament

assembled , and by the authority of the same , as follows: -

This Act may be ciled as the Massa Frumen taria (Amendment) ShorIlicll .

Act. 1995 . and shall be read and construed as one with the Massa

Frumentaria Ordinance , hereinafter referred to as ~th e principal law" . "-P. 14.

Immediately after section 15 of the principal law, there shall be Addilion 01 _

added the following section

(I) Notwithstanding any o ther provision of this

" Redemplion

Ordinance . as from the end of the year 1995. interest in tenns

of this Ordinance shall no longer be payable to the holders of

cedole, certificates or memoranda as provided for in this

Ordinance. and there shall be payable instead upon the

surrender of the cedole, certificates or memoranda , together

with the interest du e thereon up to the year 1995 , a capital

sum equivalcut to twenty times the annual sum payable as

imeresls.

(2) As from the end of December, 1995, no

interest shall continue 10 accrue on the capitals represented

by the said cedol e, certificates or memoranda.

(3) The riPI to sulTCnder the .aid .,-dQle,

certificates and mettlOr'bda skill be exercisable up to the end

of the month of December. 1997 and thereafter the right to

surrender the same and receive the capital rep,clCnted

thereby and the intercst payable due up to the cnd of the year

1995 as provided in sublection (I) of Ihis lCCtio shalllapte ....
