BE IT ENACI EO by the Presiden t, by and with the adYke and

consent of the House of Represe nta tives. in this presen t Parliament

assembled, and by the au thority of the same as follows: -

This Act may be cited as the I neal Loan Act, 1994.

( I) Subject 10 the provisions of th is Act, the Government of

Malta may raise in Malta by way of loan a sum o f money not exceeding

thiny millton Maltese liri.

(2) For the purpose of faising the loan as aforesaid, the

Mi niste r responsible for finance is hereby authorised 10 issue stock in

Malla under the provisions of the Local Loans ( Registe red Stock and Cop. 161.

Scc.:uri ties) Ordinance , 1959: and the loan made under the provisions of

this section shall be made o n such terms a nd condi tions as the said

Minister may approve.

J. Any money borrowed under the au thority of th is Act shall be

appropriated and applied for the purpose of making good the delicit

incurred by the Consolidated Fund to meet eJlpenditure during the year
