the Customs O rdinanee. hereinafter referred tOI S ,·the principal law".

(2) This Act shall come inlo fora: on such date as the

In section 12 of the principal law, for the words " and such bill Ace 1 ~

of entry" up to the end of the section, there shall be subeiti tuted the _

following words

"and for !iUCh bill of entry the Comptroller sh all issue a release

doo;umen t made in such form and manner as 11,,: Minister res-

ponsible for customs may by regulations prescribe, which. when

signed or otherwise duly certified by the Comptroller , shall be

transmitted to the proper offICer and be his warran t for the

examination and subsequent delivery , or, as the QI5C may be, the

due warehousing of such gocxIs." .

J . Forsubsection (2) of5eClion 160fthc principal law there shall

be substituted the following

"(2) The imponer or his agent shall produce 10 the Comp-

troller. if required by him . the OI'iginaJ invoices. bills of lading and

such other documents rellling w the goods as may be dumed

appearing on the bill of entry relating to such goods: '.
