I. Th is Act may be ci le<! as lhe Civil A"iation (Air Operators'

CerliflCates) (Amendment) Act. 1993, and shall be read and construed

as one with the Ci"il Aviation (Air Operators' Certiftcates) Act, here · Cop. liS,

inafter referred to as "the principal Act" ,

Section 2 of the principal Act shall be amended as fOllows

(a) immediately after the definition of "ccrtiflCatcs" there

shall be inserted the follo .... ing ncwdefinition

" ··cre ...... means e"ery pcr.;on employed orengagcd in an

aircraft in night on the busincssofthe airuaft;";

(b) immediately after the definition or" Dirtttor" there shall

be insertl:d thl: following ne .... definition

" "dry lease agreement" meanS an agreemen t whereby an

aircraft is leased .... ithout crew by its registered owner to

another person ;"; and

immediately after the definition of "dry lease agreement"

(c)

there shall be inse rted the following ne .... definition

" "foreign air lTa nspon umknaking" means an under-

taking who§c bu$iness includes the carriage by air of pas-

senger.; or cargo for pa)'ment or re .... ard and "'~ principal

place of business is outside ~Ialta:",
