AN A CT 10 amend the Stature Low Rnoisum A ct. 1980.

BE IT ENACTE D by the President. by and with the advice and

consent of the House of Represen tatives, in this jJrescnt Parliamen t

assembled, and by the authnrity nf th e sa me . as fnllows:-

Th is Act may be cited as the Statute Law Revisio n Si\of, ,;l\< .

(Amendmen t) Act. 1990, and shall be read and construed as onc with

the Statute Law Reviston Act, 1980, here inafter referred to as Mt he A<I IX 0I.19l!O

Seetinn 6 nf th e principal Act shall be amended as follows: "'-lid!_ 01.

(3); and

Cb) immediately after subsect iQn (I) thereQf there shall be

"(1) WithQu t prejudice tn the generality Qf the

foregoing prQ\'isiQns of this section the Comm issinn may -

(a) add tn any revised e(lilion furthe r pa ns

containing the laws in force on a dale Qr dates subsequenl

IQ that indicated in the revised edi tion. or in a further

part the reof, as in force Qn such date or dates as arc

indicated in the furthe r part Qr parts. and any such fu rther

part shall be deemed 10 be an integra l part of the revised

ed itio n ;

(b) keep the laws contained in any part of a revised

edition up-daled to a date or dates indkaled by the

Commi ssion. and for such pur!XJSC the Cnm mission may

publish a revised editinn or any pan Iherenf in a loose

leaf form and keep it up-dated in such manner a nd under

such conditions as the Comm issinn may deem

appropriate;

and 1111' provisions of this Act, including in particula r, bu t

without prejudice 10 the ge nerali ty of the ex pression. section

" and se~lion 8 of thi s Act. shall apply to an y further pan,

and to any revised editioo o r part thereof publ ished in a

loose-leaf form. as they apply 10 any Oilier revised edition o r

pan thereof.

edition, il may publish, and cause to be scaled and signed as

provided in !iCCtion 9 in Ibis Act. a oorrcrlion in such form as it

may deem appropriate; and with effect from 5UCh date as t he

Mini ster may by notice in the Ga~elte appoint, being a da le nOI

earlier than the CQming into fo rce o f the pa n of the revised edi tion

to wh ich the CQrret1ion refers. the said part of the revised edi tio n

shall . no twi thsta ndi ng any o ther provision of th is Act. have dfeet

subject to such correcti on .

(4) Wh ere an enactme nt CQntained in a pari of a revised

edi tion is amended with effect from a ct1Lte subseq uent to th e

publica tion but be fo re the coming into force of that pan o f t he

edition. and the Comm ission recommends to the Ministe r

al terations in Ihe ame nding enactme nt in order that the latte r may

be rea d and constr ued more appropriately as onc with the princi pal

enactment ame nded by it as contai ned in th e revised edi tio n. the

Min iste r may by order in the Galette make the alterations so

recomme nded; and thereupon. o r as from such date as the Ministe r

may in the notice specify, the a mended e nactme nt shaH have effect

as so amended .~.
