BE IT ENACfED by the Presiden t. by and with the advice and

consent of the House of Representatives, in this prese nt Parliament

assembled. and by the authority oflbe same. as fol1ows:-

2, Th is Act may be cited as the Industrial Re lations

( Amendment) Act , 1989and shall be read and construed asone with the

Ind ustrial Relations Act, 1976. IIereinafter referred to as the " the

principal Act" ,

For subsection (2) of section 3 1 of the principal Act there shall

be substituted the following

"(2) The case (or any party to a dispute may be presenled by

the party itself which may choose 10 be re presented or aided by a

pel'$On o r pel'$OOS of its trust. ~.
