.AN ACT furlher to arMnd I~ Conditions 0{ Employment (R egulatitm)

Act, 1952.

BE IT ENACTED by the President. by and with the advice and

COD§eot of the House of Representatives, in Ibis present Parliament

assembled and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

l. (l)

This Act may be cited as the Conditions of Employment Sbort IiO. &Ad

(Regulation) (Amendment) Act. 1986, aDd shall be read and construed commen<:Oment.

as one with the Conditions of Employment (Regulation) Act. 1952. Act XI of 19S1

hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act",

This Act shaU be deemed to have come into force on the

1st day of January. 1986.

Immediately after section IRA of the principal Act there shall AddilioD of

be added the following new section

Where, in tlte case of whole-time employees. a

public holiday olher than a Sunday, falls on a weekly day of

~ ':y rest to which such employee is entitled, such employee shall

be enulled 10 an additional day of vacation leave duriog the

calendar year when such public hol iday so falls 00 a weekly

day of rest or on a Surlda)' in respect of each such public

holiday.".
