ACT No, XV of 1986

A.N ACT further to amend th" Po/iu Licencu Act, 1949.

BE IT ENACTED by the PresideDl. by and with the advice and

consent of the House of Representatives in this present Parliament

assembled. and by tbe authority of the same. as follows;-

l. (I) This Act may be: ciled as the Police Licc:nces (Amendment)

Act. 1986. and shall be read and construed as one with the Police

Licences Act. 1949, hereinafter referred to all "tbe principal Act".

This Act shall be deemed 10 have come into fore<: 00 the

Immediately after section 3 of the principal Act there shall be

added the following new sectioll;

Where under any regulation made in virtue of sec-

renewed, the fee payable for Ihe issue or renewal of such

J. The provisions of thi~ Act shaH in relation to a lic~nce to drive

a motor vchicle. issued or renewed before the coming into force of this

Act for a period of more than one calendar year. only apply to any

increase in the fee for tile iss ue or renewal of such licence OC(:uring after

the lapse of the period for which such licence has been so issued or

renewed before tile 1st January. 1986.
