ACT No. XIV of 1986

AN ACT Jurther to amend the Code of Police Laws, Cap. 13.

BE IT ENACTED by the President, by and with. the advice and

consent of the House of Representatives. in tbis present Parliament

assembled. and by the authority of the same. as follows : -

This Act may be cited a.s the Code of Police Laws (Amendment) sOon Tnle..

Act. 1986. and shall be read and construed as one with the Code of

Police Laws. hereinafter referred 10 as the "principal law",

Immediately after Pari XXIII of the principal law there shall

"PART XX IllA

Of Video Recorders

311 A. No person shall. without a licence from the

prescribed by the regulations made by the Minister responsible

for wireless telegraphy. theTC shall be paid by the person apply-

ing for such issue or renewal a fee as may be prescribed under

those regulations. and differen t provisions may be made in

those regulations in relation to different iK:ences, according;

to the nature, CQnditions, limitation and duration thereof.

(2) Without prejudice to the provisions of subsec-

tion (I) of this section. the Minister responsible for wireless

telegraphy may make regulations for the beller carrying out

of the provisions of Ibis section and. in particular _

(a) for prescribing the notice which sllall be given

by such persons as may be designated in the regulations

of the manufacture. importation. sale. hire or other dis-

posal of video KCOfders, and

(h) for providing that any or all of the provisions

of lhe regulations shall apply 10 any apparatus or equip-

ment that may be used in connection wilh video

recorders." ,
