ACT No. XVIl of 1985

AN ACT JUNher to amend the Ports Ordinance, 1962.

BE IT ENACfED by the President. by and with the advice and

coo sen t of the House of Representatives. in this present Parliament

assembled, and by the authority of the same. as follows:-

I. (I) This Act may be cited as the Por~ (Amendment) Act,

1985. aud shall be read and construed as one Wilh the Por~ Ordinance,

1962. hereinafter referred to as "the principal law".

(2) This Act shall be deemed to have come into force on the

181h day of June. 1985.

(2) The Director of Ports shall deduct from the

earnings of pilots and mooring men, and shall collect from the

master, agent. charterer or owner of a ship or from any other

person requesting the services of pilots and mooring men such
