!lE IT ENACfED by Ihe Pres idenl. by and with the advice and

C<)nsenl of the House of Represenlatives. in this present Parliament

as.semb!e.:!. and by the authority of the same. DJ foUows:-

I . Thi s A~t may be cited as tile Supplies and Services (Crimina!

Proceed ings) (Juri sd i ~tio n) Act. 1983.

tbe proviJions of Ihe Criminal Code shaH apply to proceed ings before

5l1Ch Court and 10 proceed ings on appeal from any judglJlent of the uid

Court

PrOvided thnl proceedings may be commenced at 3ny time

within one yenr from the commission of the offence

Provided further that the Attorney General shaH always have

a right of appeal to the Court of Criminal Aweal from any judgment

given by the Court of J udicial Police .

J . (I) All cases which. on tll<: 28th day of J une. 1983. were

pending before the T ribunal referred to in the Price Control T ribunal

ltw: I'rb 0."01 (Constitution) Regulations. 1982. revo!.:ed by this Act. shan, 1I0lwith-

slar>ding such revocalion, for all intents and purposes of law. be deemed

to have been commenced before the Court of J udicial Police in

accordance wilh Ihe provi!ions of the Cri mina! Code relating to proceed·

ings t>efore suc h Court sitting as a Court of Criminal Judicature and 10

be pending before the !.aid Court on the date of the com;lIg into forcc

of thi~ Act and on thul dat e adjourned "ne di~ by Ihe said Court.
