BE IT ENACTED by the I'resident. by and with the advice and

COD$ent of the HOL1§e of Reprcsentali,·cs. in tbi~ present Parliament

assembltd. and by the authority of the same. as fol1OV1'1:-

I. This Act may ~ ci ted as the Foreign Interference (Amendment)

Act. 1982. and shall be read and construed ns one with the Foreign title.

Interference Act. 1982. hereinafter referred to ai "tile principal Act".

Immtdiately after subsection (4) of section J of the principal

Act there shall be added the following new subsection

"(5) The provisions of ~ubsccljon (I) of thi, &cetion shall not

apply to 3n activity consisting in the use and operation of a broad-

casting Wltion and C3TTied On in pursuance of an agreement with

the G<Y.-cmmen\ approve<l by a Reso!Dt;';'n of the Hou~ of Repre-

sentatives. unless such agreement has ceastd to be operative or to

have effect 01 the activity is not carried on mictly in compliance

wilh the appro ved a&Tecrnent ; and for this purpose a declaration by

the Minister published in the Gazelle shall be conclwivc evidcn~

of the racu so dttlam:L".
