Convention entre les États parties au Traité de l’Atlantique Nord et les autres États participant au

Partenariat pour la Paix sur le Statut de leurs Forces, faite à Bruxelles, le 19 juin 1995 - Ratification

et réserve par l’Irlande.

Il résulte d’une notification du Département d’État des États-Unis d’Amérique qu’en date du 9 avril 2019,

l’Irlande a ratifié la convention désignée ci-dessus, qui est entrée en vigueur à l’égard de cet État le 9 mai

2019, conformément au paragraphe 3 de l’article V de la convention.

L’Irlande a par ailleurs émis la réserve suivante

« Having regard to

• the specific character of the security and defense policy of Ireland ;

• the provisions of the present Agreement, which provide that the forces of one State Party may be sent

and received, by arrangement, into the territory of another State Party and that any such arrangement

must be agreed by the receiving state ;

• the prohibition under Ireland’s Constitution of the maintenance within the State of the armed forces of

any other state ;

Ireland shall not be a receiving state for the purposes of the present Agreement, and the application of, in

particular, Articles 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 of the Agreement between Parties to the North Atlantic Treaty regarding

the status of their Forces, done at London on 19 June 1951, within the territory of Ireland shall not arise

accordingly. »
