1. (1) This Order may be cited as the International Protection Act 2026 (Section 17) (Designation of Verifying Authority) Order 2026.

(2) This Order shall come into force on 12

th

June 2026.

2. The Assistant Garda Commissioner with responsibility for the Garda National Crime and Security Intelligence Service is designated as the verifying authority in the State for the purposes of Article 6 of the Eurodac Regulation.
