S.I. No. 679/2024 - Sea-Fisheries (Quotas) (Amendment) Regulations 2024

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Sea-Fisheries (Quotas) (Amendment) Regulations 2024.

2. The Sea-Fisheries (Quotas) Regulation 2024 (

S.I. No. 457 of 2024

) are amended in Regulation 2(1) by the insertion after “28 June 2024” in the definition of “Council Regulation” of the following: “and Council Regulation (EU) 2024/2678 of 10 October 2024”.

This instrument amends the Sea-Fisheries (Quotas) Regulation 2024 (

S.I. No. 457 of 2024

) to give effect to Council Regulation (EU) 2024/2678 of 10 October 2024 amending Regulation (EU) 2024/257 fixing for 2024, 2025 and 2026 the fishing opportunities for certain fish stocks, applicable in Union waters and, for Union fishing vessels, in certain non-Union waters, and amending Regulation (EU) 2023/194 fixing for 2023 and 2024 such fishing opportunities.
