S.I. No. 136/2024 - Electoral Act 1997 (Section 102) Order 2024

1. This Order may be cited as the Electoral Act 1997 (Section 102) Order 2024.

2. The period referred to in

section 102

(2)(a) of the Electoral Act 1997 (No. 25 of 1997) during which election expenses at the Limerick mayoral election to be held in the year 2024 shall be reckoned for the purposes of Part X of the said Act shall commence on the 8th day of April 2024.

3. The period referred to in the said section 102(2)(b) shall end on the 7th day of June 2024.

This Order determines the period for the reckoning of election expenses incurred by or on behalf of a candidate or mayoral election agent at the Limerick mayoral election to be held on 7 June 2024, in accordance with

section 102

of the Electoral Act 1997.

Section 103 of the said Act specifies a limit on electoral expenditure which may be incurred by a candidate or mayoral election agent during the period specified in the Order.
