S.I. No. 342/2023 - Maternity Protection (Protection of Mothers Who Are Breastfeeding) (Amendment) Regulations 2023

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Maternity Protection (Protection of Mothers who are Breastfeeding) (Amendment) Regulations 2023.

(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 3rd day of July 2023.

2. The Maternity Protection (Protection of Mothers who are Breastfeeding) Regulations 2004 (

S.I. No. 654 of 2004

) are amended by the substitution of the following definition for the definition of “employee who is breastfeeding”

“ ‘employee who is breastfeeding’ has the same meaning as it has in section 2(1) (as amended by

section 34

(a) of the

Work Life Balance and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2023

(No. 8 of 2023)) of the Principal Act;”.
