S.I. No. 394/2022 - Maritime Area Planning Act 2021 (Commencement of Certain Provisions) (No. 2) Order 2022

1. This Order may be cited as the Maritime Area Planning Act 2021 (Commencement of Certain Provisions) (No. 2) Order 2022.

day of July 2022 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the

Maritime Area Planning Act 2021

(No. 50 of 2021) shall come into operation

(a) Part 1, other than sections 6 and 12,

(b) Chapter 4 of Part 9, and

(c) Schedules 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 9.

This Order appoints 31 July 2022 as the date on which

• Part 1 (other than sections 6 and 12),

• Chapter 4 of Part 9, and

• Schedules 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 9

of the

Maritime Area Planning Act 2021

(No. 50 of 2021) comes into operation.

Chapter 4 amends provisions of the

Electricity Regulation Act 1999

to facilitate ownership by the transmission system operator of certain transmission system assets and its commencement enables necessary amendments to the European Communities (Internal Market in Electricity) Regulations 2000 (

S.I. No. 445 of 2000

).

The

Maritime Area Planning Act 2021

(Commencement of Certain Provisions) Order 2022 (S.I. No. 112/2022) appointed 10 March 2022 as the day on which the following provisions of the

Maritime Area Planning Act 2021

(No. 50 of 2021) came into operation

(a) section 72;

(b) Part 4 (other than Chapter 12); and

(c) Part 6.
