1. This Order may be cited as the Water Services Act 2017 (Commencement) Order 2022.
2. The 1st day of February 2022 is appointed as the day on which
section 23
of the
Water Services Act 2017
shall come into operation.

This Order appoints 01 February 2022 as the date on which
Section 23
of the
Water Services Act 2017
comes into operation. It means that the CRU can address unresolved complaints from customers of Irish Water in respect of requests for connection to the public water services system.
