1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Union (Seed Potatoes) (Amendment) Regulations 2020.

2. The European Union (Seed Potatoes) Regulations 2015 (

S.I. No. 641 of 2015

) are amended in Regulation 2(1) by substituting for the definition of “Directive” (as amended by European Union (Seed Potatoes) (Amendment) Regulations 2019 (

S.I. No. 199 of 2019

)) the following

These Regulations give effect to the provisions of Commission Implementing Directive (EU) 2020/177 by amending the Annexes I and II to Directive 2002/56/EC as they relate to inspections for Union regulated non-quarantine pests (RNQPs) and measures intended to prevent their presence on seed potatoes for planting.
