1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Vegetable Seeds) (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations 2020.

2. The European Communities (Vegetable Seeds) Regulations 2001 (

S.I. No. 306 of 2001

) are amended by substituting in Regulation 2(1) for the definition of “Directive” (as amended by the European Communities (Vegetable Seeds) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2020 (

S.I. No. 160 of 2020

)) the following

These Regulations give effect to the provisions of Commission Implementing Directive (EU) 2020/177 by amending the Annexes I and II to Directive 2002/55/EC as they relate to inspections for Union regulated non-quarantine pests (RNQPs) and measures intended to prevent their presence on vegetable seeds for planting.
