1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Union (Cereal Seed) (Amendment) Regulations 2020.

2. The European Union (Cereal Seed) Regulations 2013 (

S.I. No. 217 of 2013

) are amended in Regulation 2(1) by substituting for the definition of “Directive” (as amended by the European Union (Cereal Seed) (Amendment) Regulations 2018 (

)) the following

These Regulations give effect to the provisions of Commission Implementing Directive (EU) 2020/177 by amending the Annexes I and II to Directive 66/402/EEC as they relate to inspections for Union regulated non-quarantine pests (RNQPs) and measures intended to prevent their presence on cereal seeds for planting.
