1. This Order may be cited as the Health Act 2004 (Section 40H) (Relevant Day) Order 2019.

2. The 9th day of August 2019 is appointed as the day to be the relevant day for the purposes of section 40H (inserted by

section 23

of the

Health Service Executive (Governance) Act 2019

(No. 17 of 2019)) of the

Health Act 2004

(No. 42 of 2004).

This Order appoints 9 August 2019 as the relevant day for the purposes of section 40H of the

Health Act 2004

, as amended by the

Health Service Executive (Governance) Act 2019

. Section 40H as amended requires the Board of the Health Service Executive (HSE) to appoint a new audit committee. The HSE’s old audit committee stands dissolved on the relevant day.
