1. This Order may be cited as the National Treasury Management Agency (Delegation of Functions) (Amendment) Order 2019.

2. The National Treasury Management Agency (Delegation of Functions) Order 2003 (

S.I. No. 63 of 2003

) is amended, in Schedule 2, by the insertion of “Children’s Health Ireland”.

The purpose of the Delegation of Functions Order is to provide that Children’s Health Ireland may be added to the Clinical Indemnity Scheme. This scheme provides cover in respect of personal injury claims for clinical incidents occurring in public hospitals and HSE facilities.

The Government, at the request of the Minister for Health (being a Minister of the Government in whom functions in relation to a State authority are vested) and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by

section 9

(5) of the

National Treasury Management Agency (Amendment) Act 2000

(No. 39 of 2000), hereby order as follows
