S.I. No. 507/2018 - Prison (Amendment) Rules 2018

1. (1) These Rules may be cited as the Prison (Amendment) Rules 2018.

(2) The Prison Rules 2007 to 2017 and these Rules may be cited together as the Prison Rules 2007 to 2018.

2. Rule 2(2) of the Prison Rules 2007 (

S.I. No. 252 of 2007

) is amended, in the definition of “Director General”, by the substitution of “temporary absence, or where that post is vacant, such person as may be designated by the Minister to perform the functions of the Director General during that vacancy;” for “temporary absence;”.
