S.I. No. 501/2018 - Planning and Development (Fees) Regulations 2018

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Planning and Development (Fees) Regulations 2018.

(2) These Regulations shall be included in the collective citation the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 to 2018.

2. Article 168 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (

S.I. No. 600 of 2001

) is amended, in sub-article (2), by the insertion of the following paragraph

“(aa) a member of a local authority acting in his or her capacity as such member,”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation).

These Regulations amend Article 168 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (

S.I. No. 600 of 2001

) to provide that the fee for making a submission or observation to a planning authority in respect of a planning application shall not be payable by a member of a local authority acting in his or her capacity as such member.
