S.I. No. 401/2018 - Fishing Vessel (Personal Flotation Devices) (Amendment) Regulations 2018

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Fishing Vessel (Personal Flotation Devices) (Amendment) Regulations 2018.

2. Regulation 2 of the Fishing Vessel (Personal Flotation Devices) Regulations 2001 (

S.I. No. 586 of 2001

) is amended by the substitution of the following paragraph for paragraph (

c

) of the definition of “suitable personal flotation device”

“(

c

) which has on it either—

(i) the CE conformity marking consisting of the initials ‘CE’ taking the form shown in the specimen in Annex II of Regulation (EC) 765/2008 of 9 July 2008

, or

(ii) the mark of conformity in the form of the symbol set out in Annex I to Council Directive 2014/90/EU of 23 July 2014

3. The Fishing Vessel (Personal Flotation Devices) (Amendment) Regulations 2008 (

S.I. No. 63 of 2008

) are revoked.
