S.I. No. 388/2018 - Competition Act 2002 (Section 27) Order 2018

1. This Order may be cited as the Competition Act 2002 (Section 27) Order 2018.

2. This Order shall come into operation on 1 January 2019.

3. Section 18(1)(

a

) of the

Competition Act 2002

(No. 14 of 2002) is amended—

(

a

) in subparagraph (i), by the substitution of “€60,000,000” for “€50,000,000”, and

(

b

) in subparagraph (ii), by the substitution of “€10,000,000” for “€3,000,000”.

This Ministerial Order amends

section 18

(1) of the

Competition Act 2002

(as amended) by altering the monetary amounts standing relating to the obligation to notify certain mergers and acquisitions.
