1. This Order may be cited as the Medical Practitioners (Amendment) Act 2017 (Commencement) Order 2017.

2. The 6th day of November 2017 is appointed as the day on which the

Medical Practitioners (Amendment) Act 2017

(No. 10 of 2017) shall come into operation.

This Order commences The

Medical Practitioners (Amendment) Act 2017

(No. 10 of 2017) on 6 November 2017. The Act amends The

Medical Practitioners Act 2007

to provide for a requirement for medical practitioners to have medical indemnity insurance except in certain circumstances; and to provide for related matters.
