S.I. No. 321/2017 - Social Protection (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order 2017.

1. This Order may be cited as the Social Protection (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order 2017.

2. The powers (other than the power to prosecute an offence) and duties of the Minister for Social Protection conferred on her—

(

a

) by or under the provisions of the enactment specified in Part 1 of the Schedule, and

(

b

) under the provisions of the Regulations specified in Part 2 of the Schedule,

are delegated to Finian McGrath, Minister of State at the Department of Social Protection.

The Social Protection (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order 2017 delegates to Finian McGrath T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Social Protection, the statutory powers and duties of the Minister for Social Protection mentioned in the Order. These are in respect of the following social welfare schemes; Partial Capacity Benefit, Invalidity Pension, Blind Pension, Domiciliary Care Allowance and Disability Allowance.
