S.I. No. 7/2016 - Sea-Fisheries (Conservation and Rational Exploitation of Hake) (Amendment) Regulations 2016.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Sea-Fisheries (Conservation and Rational Exploitation of Hake) (Amendment) Regulations 2016.

2. The Sea Fisheries (Conservation and Rational Exploitation of Hake) Regulations 2006 (

S.I. No 179 of 2006

) are amended by substituting in Regulation 2(1) for the definition of “Commission Regulation” the following-

“‘Commission Regulation’ means Commission Regulation (EC) No 494/2002 of 19 March 2002 as amended by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/1867 of 19 October 2015;”.

These Regulations amend The Sea Fisheries (Conservation and Rational Exploitation of Hake) Regulations 2006 (

S.I. No 179 of 2006

) which provide for technical control measures on Hake, as amended, to adopt the measures in Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/1897 of 21 October 2015 concerning unintended catches subject to the landing obligation requirement of the Common Fisheries Policy.
