S.I. No. 633/2016 - Garda Síochána (Policing Authority and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2015 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order 2016.

1. This Order may be cited as the Garda Síochána (Policing Authority and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2015 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order 2016.

2. The 1st day of January 2017 is appointed as the day on which the Garda Síochána (Policing Authority and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2015 (No. 49 of 2015) shall, insofar as it is not already in operation, come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order commences the remaining sections of the

Garda Síochána (Policing Authority and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2015

. Those sections are sections 10, 11, 12, 13, 39, 40, 41 and 42. The effect of the Order is that the

Garda Síochána (Policing Authority and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2015

will now be commenced in full.
