1. This Order may be cited as the Courts (Supplemental Provisions) Act 1961 (Judicial Remuneration) (Section 46(9A)) Order 2016.
2. This Order comes into operation on 1 January 2017.
3. This Order applies to a judge whose appointment to the judicial office concerned occurred on or after the commencement of
section 10
of the
Financial Emergency Measures in the Public Interest (Amendment) Act 2011
(No. 39 of 2011).
4. The annual sum payable by way of remuneration to a judge holding a judicial office specified in column (1) of the Schedule in respect of whom not more than 1 year has elapsed since his or her appointment to that office is the sum specified in column (2) of that Schedule opposite the judicial office specified in column (1).
5. The annual sum payable by way of remuneration to a judge holding a judicial office specified in column (1) of the Schedule in respect of whom more than 1 year but not more than 2 years have elapsed since his or her appointment to that office is the sum specified in column (3) of that Schedule opposite the judicial office specified in column (1).
6. The annual sum payable by way of remuneration to a judge holding a judicial office specified in column (1) of the Schedule in respect of whom more than 2 years have elapsed since his or her appointment to that office is the sum specified in column (4) of that Schedule opposite the judicial office specified in column (1).
