1. These Regulations may be cited as the Freedom of Information Act 2014 (Amendment of Schedule 3) Regulations 2016.

2. Part 1 of Schedule 3 to the

Freedom of Information Act 2014

(No. 30 of 2014) is amended by inserting

after the following

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.)

These Regulations provide for the addition of a reference to the

National Standards Authority of Ireland Act 1996

to Schedule 3 of the

Freedom of Information Act 2014

. This means that the Freedom of Information Act will override the non-disclosure provisions in paragraph 5 of the Second Schedule of the

National Standards Authority of Ireland Act 1996

.
