1. These Regulations may be cited as the Sea-Fisheries (Conservation and Rational Exploitation of Cod in the North Sea and to the West of Scotland) (Amendment) Regulations 2015.

2. The Sea-Fisheries (Conservation and Rational Exploitation of Cod in the North Sea and to the West of Scotland) Regulations 2006 (

S.I. No. 177 of 2006

) are amended by substituting in Regulation 2(1) for the definition of “Commission Regulation” the following

“Commission Regulation” means Commission Regulation (EC) No 2056/2001 of 19 October 2001 as amended by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/1897 of 21 October 2015.”

These Regulations amend the Sea-Fisheries (Conservation and Rational Exploitation of Cod in the North Sea and to the West of Scotland) Regulations 2006 (

S.I. No. 177 of 2006

) which provide for technical control measures on Cod in the North Sea and to the West of Scotland, as outlined in Commission Regulation (EC) No 2056/2001 of 19 October 2001, amended to adopt the measures in Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/1897 of 21 October 2015 concerning unintended catches subject to the landing obligation requirement of the Common Fisheries Policy.
