1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Union (Short Selling) (Amendment) Regulations 2015.

Amendments to European Union (Short Selling) Regulations 2012

2. Regulation 5 of the European Union (Short Selling) Regulations 2012 (

S.I. No. 340 of 2012

) is amended—

(

a

) in paragraph (1), by substituting “may” for “shall”, and

(

b

) in paragraph (2), by substituting “the requirements of the Short Selling Regulation or a notice under paragraph (1)” for “the requirement of a notice under paragraph (1)”.
