1. This Order may be cited as the Health (General Practitioner Service) Act 2014 (Commencement) Order 2014.

2. The 5th day of August 2014 is appointed as the day on which

(No. 28 of 2014) come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation)

This Order brings into operation on 5th August, 2014, certain provisions of the

Health (General Practitioner Service) Act 2014

in relation to amending a definition in the Nursing Homes Support Scheme Act, 2009; repealing and replacing

section 8

of the

Opticians Act, 1956

to provide for the years which are to be election years for the purposes of that Act.
