S.I. No. 486/2013 - Harbours Act 1996 (Establishment of the Pilotage District of Bantry Bay Harbour) Order 2013.

1. This Order may be cited as the Harbours Act 1996 (Establishment of the Pilotage District of Bantry Bay Harbour) Order 2013.

2. This Order comes into operation on 1 January 2014.

3. A pilotage district, the limits of which are specified in Article 4 and which shall be known as, and is in this Order referred to as, the “pilotage district of Bantry Bay Harbour”, is hereby established.

4. The limits of the pilotage district of Bantry Bay Harbour shall be the sea area contained within an imaginary line drawn from Furze Point 51° 40.10N 009° 44.70 W to Roancarrigmore Light House 51°39.20N 009°44.90W and an imaginary line drawn from the said lighthouse to “Glanrooncoosh” 51°35.70N 009° 44.50W.

5. There is hereby conferred on the Port of Cork Company the function of organising and ensuring the provision of pilotage services in the pilotage district of Bantry Bay Harbour by one of the means specified in

section 56

(1) of the

Harbours Act 1996

(No.11 of 1996).
