EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.)
These Regulations amend the European Communities (Motor Vehicles Type Approval) Regulations 2009 (
S.I. No. 127 of 2009
), which implemented the provisions of a number of European Union Directives which deal with the type approval of motor vehicles, their trailers and components, and two and three wheel vehicles including quadricycles. These Regulations replace the list of Directives set out in Schedule 1 to the Regulations of 2009 in order to take account of Council Directive 2013/15/EU on the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union.
These Regulations revoke the European Communities (Motor Vehicles Type Approval) (Amendment) Regulations 2011 (
S.I. No. 421 of 2011
).
These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Motor Vehicles Type Approval) (Amendment) Regulations 2013.
