S.I. No. 435/2013 - Nurses and Midwives Rules, 2013.

1. 2 These Rules may be cited as the Nurses and Midwives Rules, 2013 and are supplemental to the Nurses Rules, 2010 (S.I. 689/2010).

2. 2 The Nurses Division shall contain the names of persons registered in any of the following divisions referred to in Nurses Rules, 2010

(1) General Nurses Division;

(2) Psychiatric Nurses Division;

(3) Children’s Nurses Division;

(4) Intellectual Disability Nurses Division.

3. 2 The Nurse Candidate Division of the Candidate Register shall contain the names of any persons registered in any of divisions of the Candidate Register referred to at 3.1.2 to 3.1.5 above.

4. 1 These Rules will be published in the prescribed manner as defined in

Section 2

of the

Nurses and Midwives Act 2011

.

The Minister for Health in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 13(7) of the

Nurses and Midwives Act 2011

, approved of the making of the above rules on the 31st day of October, 2013.

The rules as signed by the Minister for Health concern the establishment of a nurses division of the register of nurses and midwives and of divisions of the candidate register pursuant to

section 46

of the

Nurses and Midwives Act 2011

. These rules are supplemental to the Nurses Rules, 2010 and do not replace them.
