S.I. No. 104/2013 - Road Safety Authority (Commercial Vehicle Roadworthiness) Act 2012 (Conferral of Functions) Order 2013.

1. This Order may be cited as the Road Safety Authority (Commercial Vehicle Roadworthiness) Act 2012 (Conferral of Functions) Order 2013.

2. This Order comes into operation on 27th March 2013.

3. The functions of the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport under

of the

(No. 16 of 2012) are conferred on the Road Safety Authority.

This Order provides for the transfer of certain functions conferred on the Minister to Transport, Tourism, and Sport under the

Road Safety Authority (Commercial Vehicle Roadworthiness) Act 2012

(No. 16 of 2012) to the Road Safety Authority relating to the

(

a

) arrangements for the testing of commercial vehicles and the issuance of certificates of roadworthiness;

(

b

) authorisation of commercial vehicle roadworthiness test operators and testers;

(

c

) suspension and revocation of authorisations and handling of appeals where an authorisation is suspended or revoked; and

(

d

) appointment of authorised officers, CVR inspectors and deciding officers.
