S.I. No. 335/2012 - Patents, Trade Marks and Designs (Fees) (Amendment) (No. 2) Rules 2012.

1. (1) These Rules may be cited as the Patents, Trade Marks and Designs (Fees) (Amendment) (No. 2) Rules 2012.

(2) These Rules shall come into operation on 3 September 2012.

2. Schedule 1 to the Patents, Trade Marks and Designs (Fees) Rules 2001 (

S.I. No. 482 of 2001

) is amended by the deletion of the text in columns (2) and (3) opposite reference number 45.

3. The Patents, Trade Marks and Designs (Fees) (Amendment) Rules 2008 (

S.I. No. 72 of 2008

) are revoked.

The Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform hereby gives his sanction to the making of the foregoing rules.

These amendments to the Patents, Trade Marks and Designs (Fees) Rules 2001 remove the provision for a fee for filing translation of specification of a European patent designating the State as per

section 119

(6) of the

Patents Act 1992

amended by the

Patents (Amendment) Act 2012

.
