S.I. No. 128/2012 - Garda Síochána Act 2005 (Section 52) Regulations 2012.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Garda Síochána Act 2005 (Section 52) Regulations 2012.

Commencement

2. These Regulations come into operation on 13th March 2012.

Definition

3. In these regulations “PSNI” means the Police Service of Northern Ireland.

Prescribed ranks

4. The following ranks of the Garda Síochána are prescribed as the ranks to which the Government may appoint members of the PSNI

(

a

) superintendent;

(

b

) chief superintendent;

(

c

) Assistant Garda Commissioner.
