S.I. No. 103/2012 - Road Traffic (National Car Test) (Amendment) Regulations 2012.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic (National Car Test) (Amendment) Regulations 2012.

2. In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Road Traffic (National Car Test) (Amendment) Regulations 2011 (

S.I. No. 623 of 2011

).

3. The Principal Regulations are amended as follows

(1) By adding the following reasons for refusal to Item 30 of the Schedule—

(15) light source and lamp not compatible.

(16) where a levelling device is mandatory, the levelling device is not operating.

(17) where a levelling device is mandatory, the levelling device cannot be operated from the driver’s seat.

(18) where a headlamp cleaning device is mandatory, the headlamp cleaning device is not operating correctly.

(2) By amending Item 60 of the Schedule to read as follows

Malfunction indicator for airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), antilock brake system (ABS), electronic braking system (EBS), parking brake, tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS), electronic power steering (EPS) or brake fluid warning lamp is not working, or is indicating a defect in the system.
