S.I. No. 715/2011 - Nurses and Midwives Act 2011 (Commencement) Order 2011.

1. This Order may be cited as the Nurses and Midwives Act 2011 (Commencement) Order 2011.

2. The 1st day of January 2012 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the

Nurses and Midwives Act 2011

(No. 41 of 2011) shall come into operation

(

a

) sections 1 and 2;

(

b

) Part 12.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings into operation sections 1 and 2 and Part 12 of the

Nurses and Midwives Act 2011

with effect from the 1st January 2012. Part 12 provides for the dissolution of the National Council for the Professional Development of Nursing and Midwifery.
