1. This Order may be cited as the Radiographers Registration Board (Establishment Day) Order 2011.

2. The 16th day of December 2011 is appointed as the establishment day of the Radiographers Registration Board.

The effect of this Order is to establish, under the

Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005

, a body known as the Radiographers Registration Board, which will register Radiographers, thus protecting the public by fostering high standards of professional conduct and professional education, training and competence among registrants of the radiography profession.
