1. This Order may be cited as the Child Care (Amendment) Act 2011 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order 2011.

2. The 30 day of September 2011 is appointed as the day on which

sections 4

and

26

of the

Child Care (Amendment) Act 2011

(No. 19 of 2011) shall come into operation.

Commencement of

Sections 4

and

26

of the

Child Care (Amendment) Act 2011

•

Section 4

of the

Child Care (Amendment) Act 2011

deletes

Section 3

(4) of the

Child Care Act 1991

as that provision was not required in that Act following the establishment of the Department of Children and Youth Affairs.

• Section 26 amends

Section 69

of the

Child Care Act 1991

to include any services and children’s residential facilities provided under the Child Care Act by persons taking care of a child on behalf of the Health Service Executive.
